Join us for a unique reading experience with the UC Alumni Book Club and become a part of a close-knit online community. The book club is a fun and interactive way for alumni to connect with each other, be a part of a lifelong learning community, and to embrace the positive impact that reading can have on our focus and mental health.
The book club connects through a private online forum where members can discuss the current book and network with each other. The group will spend approximately two months on each book, allowing you plenty of time to read.
The club is managed by PBC Guru, an organisation that arranges professional book clubs for companies, libraries, and alumni associations. They will be moderating the UC Alumni book club to ensure the program is a great experience for all involved. There is no cost to participate – you just have to get a copy of the book to enjoy. If you have any questions, please visit the Frequently Asked Questions or email the team at PBC Guru.
Calida Lyons is having a bad week. She's past deadline for her still unwritten book, her husband has just left her, and her community is being threatened by bushfires.
Devastated in front of news cameras, Cali delivers a unfiltered rebuke to the nation's rich to do something. Her rant goes viral, and she quickly becomes the latest celebrity face of the climate movement. Soon she's offered a harbourside refuge by handsome tech billionaire and she's the darling of high society.
But things aren't as they seem. It's all built on lies, and Cali's pretty sure that the precarious house of cards she's built is about to come tumbling down.
The book is available from a variety of stores, both online and in-store:
