Student participation and wellbeing
Who we are
Student Equity, Participation & Wellbeing is a passionate and dedicated team within the University of Canberra dedicated to equity, outreach and the support of all students at every stage of their education life cycle.
Our Aspire UC team offers a wide range of programs to enhance access to higher education for individuals and groups traditionally underrepresented in Higher Education. This includes community and schools-based outreach programs and activities which aim to increase awareness of, and raise aspirations towards higher education for participants and their families. The team, including current UC students, works in partnership with internal and external partners, including participating schools, communities and organisations across the ACT & regional NSW.
UC thrive works hard to ensure that all students start their journey at UC in the best way possible. We deliver targeted and individualised transition support programs, including the UC Student Mentor Program, that connect commencing students with the UC community in a meaningful way throughout their first few months of study.
Our Student Wellbeing team provides individualised support and information to help students successfully navigate their journey at UC. We provide confidential advice, referrals and support with any challenge or concern that students may face.
