The University of Canberra is dedicated to equity, outreach and the support of all students at every stage of their education life cycle.

The Student Equity and Participation team consists of our Aspire UC Programs and our Student Success Programs.

Our Aspire UC team works to enhance access to higher education for individuals and groups traditionally underrepresented in Higher Education. This includes community and schools-based outreach programs and activities which aim to increase awareness of, and raise aspirations towards higher education for participants and their families. The team, including current UC students, works in partnership with internal and external partners, including participating schools, communities and organisations across the ACT & regional NSW.

Our Student Success programs are aimed to improve access, participation, retention and success of students from targeted equity groups. We work alongside students, empowering them to navigate their university journey successfully through an increasingly proactive approach to their learning and engagement.
