Infringements

Traffic infringement officers and police regularly patrol the campus and car parks. On campus, drivers must park in marked bays only and follow the Australian Road Rules and the Road Transport (Safety and Traffic Management) Act 1999 with regard to parking. Drivers choosing to park in the park and ride areas or residential areas around the campus are advised to observe parking signage to avoid penalties.

Time limits

Some car parks at the University are limited time car parks. Time limits in these car parks vary from 15 minutes to 4 hours. If you park in these car parks for longer than the allotted time (signs in the car park will indicate how long you can stay) you will receive an infringement notice.

Dispute process

Drivers should note that infringements are managed and processed by the ACT Government Parking Operations. All infringement revenues are receipted by the ACT Government and not the University. Further information on infringements are found at the Road Transport Authority.
