Pathways programs

The UC Connect program is available to domestic recent school leavers who want to upgrade their skills and gain admission into university.

The program helps you develop skills, prepare for university, and strengthen your selection rank so you can enter the undergraduate course of your choosing once you've completed the scheme.

The UC Prep program is for domestic students over 21 years who haven’t studied in a while but are keen to start an undergraduate degree.

This program is all about preparation – you’ll get an introduction to university life while you develop or refresh your study skills. Once you’ve successfully completed the course, you’ll be ready to tackle your degree. This program will also help strengthen your selection rank, which will boost your application for a UC undergraduate degree.

If you’re a First Nations Australian student, our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation Program can help you access and prepare for a UC undergraduate degree.

Completing the Foundation Program can assist in strengthening your selection rank for entry to UC. You’ll also develop university-level study skills and learn about getting organised for university life, giving you a head start once you begin your chosen degree.

If you’re a domestic or international student eager to start an undergraduate degree, but you don’t currently meet the entry requirements for your chosen course, we have a range of UC diplomas available.

A diploma lets you start learning in your chosen study area or discipline now, while giving you extra study support and preparing you for university life. Once you’ve successfully completed your diploma, you can begin your undergraduate degree at UC with up to one year of credit.

The International Foundation Studies Program is available to international students looking to start an undergraduate degree, but who don’t currently meet the entry requirements of their chosen course.

By completing the International Foundation Studies Program, you’ll build skills, get ready for university life, and cover any entry requirements or prerequisites you need to start your degree.

The Graduate Certificate in Academic Foundations (GCAF) is for international students who have already completed an undergraduate degree, but who don’t quite meet the postgraduate coursework degree entry requirements.

Our GCAF helps you develop your academic learning and research skills, getting you ready for a master’s degree at UC.
