The double degree in Design/Landscape architecture enables students to combine a unique, multidisciplinary approach to the study of design disciplines with a strong professional and research foundation in the theory and practice of landscape architecture. Students will engage with the values, knowledge and skills central to the design and management of sustainable built environments and open space systems. Students will have the advantage of learning in and contributing to Australia's National Capital, Canberra ¿ an internationally recognized exemplar of a designed landscape city. In the first three years of this distinctive double degree, students begin their landscape studies while also exploring the breadth of design disciplines. They share much of their first year studies with the disciplines of Architecture, Industrial Design and Interior Architecture. In the second and third years, they build on this multidisciplinary approach while intensifying their focus on the theory and practice of landscape architecture. The fourth year, Bachelor of Landscape provides an integrated, research enriched specialised year in which students extend their skills and knowledge in research-led, project oriented landscape studios. Graduates will be highly sought after in today¿s multidisciplinary landscape related design workplaces.
Professional accreditation
Accreditation will be negotiated with Australian Institute of Landscape Architecture and they are being consulted on an ongoing basis.

Credit arrangements
There are currently no formal credit transfer arrangements for entry to this course. Any previous study or work experience will only be considered as part of the application process in accordance with current course rules and university policy.

Note:
- Option 1 is only for students who have already completed 3 or 6 credit points from the closed units listed above. If only 3 credit points have been completed, students must complete unit 9799.
- 1. If one of the units in this list is already a required unit within the typical course structure, it cannot be counted as a Restricted Choice.
- 2. This list includes units from both Semesters 1 and 2 so you will need to check unit availability.
- Option 2 is for students who have completed a unit from Part B as a Foundation unit. Students must complete unit 9799 in Part A if they have not already completed one of the closed units listed above.
- Unit Levels: In selecting electives students should note that no more than 30 credit points at Level 1 is permitted for the entire course.
Note:- Must pass 18 credit points from anywhere in the University, as a major, a minor and/or as individual units.
