Study Help resources

The UC Study Skills Team has a range of live services available through its Study Help Canvas site (login) has a range of online materials and discussion forums to support you, including:

  • Remote learning strategies and tips.
  • Information about the Academic Integrity Module (AIM), Study Skills For Success course and the English for Uni course.
  • Student guides to using:
    • Virtual Room
    • Lecture recordings
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Zoom
  • Virtual Rooms available in the left-hand menu for:
    • The Help Hub, which is currently hosting ASK Advisor and Study Skills Drop-ins online from 10.30am – 6.30pm each weekday; ASK Advisor online drop-ins are also available on the weekend from12.30pm – 4.30pm.
    • The ASK Advisors are trained current students providing daily help with study tips, assignment writing, printing, library loans, UCLearn, ePortfolio and more.
    • Study Skills Learning Advisors provide online assignment help, English Language and Referencing Help.
    • MASH (maths and stats help) for online drop-in help with maths, stats and IT questions.
  • Studiosity online study help is available 24/7 for Writing Feedback and Connect Live sessions. Access through the left navigation menu of the Study Help site or your unit teaching site.

Peer Assisted Learning

Peer Assisted Learning Sessions (PALS) are group study sessions led by Peer Learning Advisors on weekdays for large-cohort core first-year units.

Access via the Virtual Room in the PALS Student site (login). PALS starts in Week Two of each semester and Winter Term.

Ngunnawal Centre Tutoring Program

The Ngunnawal Centre Tutoring Program will be managed between the tutor and the student as to which communication support method works best for both the student and the tutor, e.g. telephone, video call or online facility.

The chat function on the Ask a Librarian page of the Library website will be available 10.30am – 6.30pm.

The Student Central team is fully equipped to assist and support students during this time and students are encouraged to make contact for any support needed. Students will be able to access Student Central via email, phone or chat.
