Considered becoming a teacher?

A fantastic opportunity is available right now for students contemplating or already studying towards a teaching career.

teach.NSW, the recruitment and promotional arm of the NSW Department of Education and Training, has announced the launch of its 2009 Teacher Education Scholarship Program.

Up to 230 one to five-year scholarships are available for students to train as teachers in mathematics, science, English and technology. Scholarships are also available to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students to train as primary teachers or in any secondary subject area.

Successful applicants receive a range of benefits including payment of their HECS fees, up to $1,500 annual allowance and above all, a guaranteed permanent teaching position in a NSW public school upon completion of studies.
