Live and Learn France, Germany & Brazil
The Live & Learn program is open to young Australians between the ages of 18-25 years.
Participants will live with a host family in France, Germany or Brazil and receive free board and lodging. In return they will spend 15 hours a week (weekends free) teaching or conversing in English with members of the family.

The Canberra Award
The Canberra Award is a program that will help you stand out from the crowd and be the preferred graduate when you are applying for that first job after graduation. The simple fact is that there are now more graduates than ever before. To stand out a good degree is essential, but it is not enough.

Red Cross has great opportunities for students interested in making an active contribution by providing the means to become part of the largest independent humanitarian network in the world. Current opportunities include the Telecross Program and the Community Visitors Scheme (Word, 21kb)

Looking to volunteer? Applications NOW OPEN for the Oaktree Foundation's GENERATE Program
In 2010 you can be part of a team of like minded energetic individuals and create real change in your local community and the developing world. If you're under 26, Generate is your platform to advocate, fund raise and campaign on behalf of the worldwide movement to eradicate extreme poverty.
As a Generator, you will attend weekly sessions that develop your practical skills and train you to be an effective agent of change. Generate is specifically designed to give new volunteers the chance to make a meaningful contribution, without having to commit all of their time or have specialist skills. Specifically, Generators will:
- Undertake training in areas such as public speaking, facilitation, delegation, event management, promotions and lobbying activities
- Gain valuable experience in the aid and development sector
- Build practical skills in campaigning, advocacy and fundraising
- Create educational opportunities for young people in the developing world
- Work alongside other passionate and talented young people
