Here you will find all the contacts you may need for support for on an off university campus.
If you are in immediate danger and require urgent assistance, we encourage you to call '000'. If you are on-campus, you can also call campus security on 6201 2222.
The University of Canberra Medical and Counselling Centre provides a range of health, well-being and counselling support services to staff, students and visitors on-campus. Medical and Counselling Services are available 9 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. You can reach Medical and Counselling on 6201 2351.
If you require crisis support, students have access to a dedicated University Crisis Line, operated by Lifeline. The service is available after business hours (24 hours over weekends and public holidays). People seeking support can free call 1300 271 790, or text on 0488 884 227. The University of Canberra has partnered with Lifeline to deliver this vital service to ensure that staff and students can seek immediate relief from emotional distress, can safely manage threats to life or safety, and explore coping strategies in both the short and long-term, particularly for out of hours support. The University Crisis Line is available to all students regardless of location.
Staff requiring support can access the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). EAP is an independent and completely confidential counselling service available to staff of the University and their immediate families. The EAP provides a practical and voluntary service to assist staff to deal with any problem that might affect their health and well-being and which may impact on their work and relationships at work.

DVCS is able to meet people in a safe space to talk over any issues you are facing. The DVCS is also able to help you access crisis and long-term accommodation. |
