Monkeypox

Monkeypox is a rare viral infection that was previously associated with travel to Central and West Africa. It is usually spread direct through direct contact of lesion material, contact with clothing or linen contaminated with infected body fluids or via respiratory droplets. Most people recover within a few weeks.

Since May 2022 there has been a global increase in Monkeypox cases including rare cases in Australia.
