Affiliated Schools Program
UC is the only university in Australia you’ll experience the one-of-a-kind, Affiliated Schools Program.
More than just mandatory placements, you’ll see theory come to life in real classrooms. The Affiliated Schools Program is delivered in partnership with the ACT Education Directorate across 25 public schools. The program gives you unrivalled access to classrooms and school-based teaching clinics while you learn. You’ll benefit from networking opportunities with local schools, teachers and principals, improving your employment options when you graduate.
Professional placements
At UC, we prepare you for the workforce by supporting you through fulfilling work placements and by helping you finish your degree a well-rounded, skilled and empathetic teacher, ready for the classroom. Through professional teaching placements, you’ll understand what’s its really like to be a school teacher or senior education professional, and will experience the first-hand delights and challenges a career in teaching brings.

Learn to teach English and other languages
With no previous teaching qualification or experience required, courses Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Foreign Language Teaching (FLT) will open a world of opportunities.
