Study a Bachelor of Nursing at UC and you will:

The Faculty of Health is actively involved in the areas of health education and research. Our partnership with the ACT Government Health Directorate facilitates seminars, workshops and conferences to disseminate our cutting edge research and develop innovative approaches to the challenges facing the health sector today. You will have the opportunity engage in these programs and put your theoretical knowledge into practice through professional placements locally, regionally, and internationally.
Career opportunities
This degree is accredited by the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council. On finishing the Bachelor of Nursing you are eligible to apply for registration as a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).

Professional accreditation
This course is accredited with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
Students completing the Bachelor of Nursing 885AA are eligible to apply for registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia defines the registration standards applicants need to meet to be registered, inclusive of English Language Skills Registration Standards. Students must refer to the Nursing and Midwifery site for more information about registration requirements http://www.nursingmidwiferyboard.gov.au/ before enrolling in the Bachelor of Nursing.

Additional admission requirements
All students enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing course are required to undergo a Police Record Check prior to undertaking clinical experience. All students are also required to present an immunisation history. Please see the following website for full details: www.canberra.edu.au/placement

It is assumed that applicants have a level of written and spoken English proficiency that is adequate for study at University. ACT: English (T) major; Studies in Science (Chemistry and Biology) and Mathematics are highly recommended; NSW: English Advanced; Studies in Science (Chemistry and Biology) and Mathematics are highly recommended.
