This major in nursing inquiry is a coherent group of units that draws together key concepts relevant to the practice of nurses. Inquiry is a foundational and continuing component of learning and therefore knowledge developed throughout this major contributes to student development of safe nursing practice. Students are encouraged to use clinical reasoning skills throughout explorations of nursing caring for people, persons, families and communities.
Prerequisite and/or Corequisite: This major is restricted to Bachelor of Nursing students.
Prerequisite units for Nursing Caring and Inquiry: Foundational and Nursing Caring and Inquiry: Chronicity, are Nursing Inquiry and Nursing Caring.
Prerequisite units for Nursing Caring and Inquiry: Complexity are Nursing Caring and Inquiry: Foundational, Nursing Inquiry, Nursing Caring and Learning for Professional Practice 1.
