We highly value workplace flexibility to enhance our employees' work-life balance.

Depending on the nature of the role, staff can access hybrid working arrangements to provide work-life balance and flexibility, and accommodate the needs of our diverse workforce.

Many of our staff have a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days on campus and 2 days working at home.

Generous leave benefits

We also offer generous and supportive workplace conditions with many different leave benefits. Our staff enjoy four weeks of recreational leave and 20 days of personal/carers leave annually, plus additional time off during our end-of-year shutdown period.

UC offers nationally competitive remuneration with annual salary increments, as well as 17% employer superannuation contributions.

Additionally, our staff can take advantage of numerous salary packaging options, including superannuation, childcare services and on campus parking. We also offer the option to salary package vehicles via novated lease or self-managed leases, in addition to other eligible benefits.

    Relocation support

    If you need to relocate to join UC, we may offer relocation as part of your employment offer pending your position. Most Academic appointments with a minimum of 3 years duration are eligible to receive a relocation allowance to contribute towards your move to Canberra. Upon successful application to UC, your offer of employment will outline your specific entitlements.

    You will also have an Employee Experience Coordinator (EECO) to provide you with guidance and support around UC’s relocation process once you accept your offer.
