Centre for Intergenerational Digital and Financial Wellbeing

Our Vision

At CIDFW, we are building a future where younger and older generations thrive together. In this future, people have the confidence to manage their finances, the skills to use digital tools, and the opportunity to work together to solve shared challenges. By bringing generations together, we aim to create stronger, more resilient communities that can adapt to a fast‑changing world.

Our Mission

The Centre exists to become a trusted national voice on how people of all ages can succeed in today’s financial and digital environment. We focus on research that brings generations together, helping shape better policies, smarter innovations, and fairer outcomes for everyone.

Our Programs

1. Understanding the state of intergenerational digital and financial wellbeing

We study how different generations experience digital and financial life. This includes identifying gaps and inequalities, and sharing knowledge that helps governments, organisations, and communities understand what is happening and why.

2. The and risks of intergenerational digital and financial wellbeing (current and future)

We look closely at the challenges people face, such as financial vulnerability, digital exclusion, and emerging risks. Our work helps identify who is most at risk and why, and we aim to develop early warning approaches so problems can be addressed before they grow.

3. Solutions and innovation for intergenerational digital and financial wellbeing

We work with industry and government to design practical solutions. This includes new strategies, policies, and tools that improve financial confidence and digital capability across generations. Our goal is to turn research into real‑world impact.
