Essential tasks after enrolment

Now that you've enrolled, there are a handful of tasks to complete to get you organised for your first semester at UC. If you haven't enrolled yet, you can do so by following the steps on our Enrol in units page.

Create your timetable

Creating your timetable allows you to choose the days and times of each unit.

If you enrol after the dates below, you will be able to create your timetable 24 hours after you enrol. If you enrol before the dates below, you will need to wait until the opening date to create your timetable.

Sem 2 2026 units: Open now
Sem 1 2027 units: early/mid December (exact date TBC)

Pay your fees or complete your loan paperwork

Your course fees and Student Services and Amenitites fees (SSAF) must be paid by Friday of Week 1 of your commencing teaching period. Depending on your situation, you may pay fees up front directly to us or you may organise a loan through the Higher Education Loan Program (HELP).

All students in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) course must complete the electronic Commonwealth Assistance Form (eCAF) regardless of whether you will pay upfront or via a loan. The eCAF also functions as your application for HELP loans if you are eligible to receive one.

If eligible, you can also defer your SSAF payments with an SA-HELP loan.

If you are paying your fees up front, you can view your Statement of Account (invoice) though myUC. On your Statement of Account, you’ll find options to pay via BPAY or Convera.

You can choose from a range of student housing on or near our Bruce campus, or rent a room, apartment or house elsewhere in the greater Canberra area.

Get your student ID card

If you're new to UC, you can skip the queue and order your ID card online!

Upload a photo of your choice, photographic ID and let us know how you want to collect your ID card.

We’ll send you an email when your card is ready to be picked up.

After you’ve been notified, there is a self-service kiosk in the Library where you can collect your ID card at any time during Library opening hours.

Organise parking

UC's Bruce campus is accessible through Canberra's public transportation system, however if you will be driving to campus, you can organise pre-paid parking here.

Attend Orientation

Semester 2 O-Week kicks off on Monday 3 August and is the perfect way to start your UC journey.

O-Week is all about getting organised, meeting new people and becoming part of the UC community. During O-Week you will connect with your faculty, discover the support available to you and prepare for the exciting semester ahead.

If you can make it to campus during the week, you'll also be able to experience an exciting program of social events hosted by UCX, UC's student experience experts.
