So, you want to change the world? Join us to explore the key tactics and strategies that bring about social and political change from the local to the global stage. In this course, you will learn about the main drivers of conflict, change, and consensus building in contemporary global ethical issues. Looking at issues from climate change to peace activism, you will deepen your knowledge of diverse cultural, political and theoretical perspectives. Through a series of interactive and creative workshops you will put your learnings from the day into practice and be empowered to carry over these lessons into your everyday lives.

Dr Bethaney Turner is an Associate Professor in Global Studies at the University of Canberra and member of the Centre for Creative and Cultural Research in the Faculty of Arts and Design. Building on her doctoral work on social revolutionary movements in Latin America, her current research explores social, cultural, and political perspectives on climate change.
Dr Artie McCarthy is a lecturer in Global Studies at the University of Canberra whose research work has focussed on the participation of children and young people in development, humanitarian projects and peace activism.
