The ANME was delighted to receive a visit from Canberra representatives of the Australian Museums and Galleries Association on 11th October.
Prior to a guided tour of the ANME collections and current displays in the Heritage Gallery and the ANME repositories, the group of about 18 were officially welcomed to the ANME by the Director, Dr Malcolm Beazley AM and Chair of the ANME Board of Management, Professor Barbara Pamphilon AM.
Responding on behalf of the AMaGA -ACT was its Vice President Ms Kate Armstrong. The Guest of Honour at this event was Ms Alicia Payne MP, Member for Canberra. The visitors were allocated to three groups, which rotated around the various displays, in which a member of the ANME staff elaborated on highlights of the ANME collections. Refreshments were provided for the guests.
