15 August 2014: The University of Canberra Capitals have re-signed guard Michelle Cosier for the upcoming 2014/15 WNBL season.

The 32-year-old, who has signed a one-year deal, said she's pleased to be returning to the court after sitting out the 2013/14 season to have her second son Levi, now five months old.

It will be Cosier's fifth season with the University of Canberra Capitals. She also sat out the 2009/10 season to welcome the arrival of her first son Brodie, who is now four years old.

"It was hard watching from the sideline last year," Cosier said. "I really missed playing and I'm looking forward to bringing my experience back to the team."

Head coach Carrie Graf said: "Michelle's grit and relentless physicality are something our team sorely missed last season so to have her back in the mix is a major plus for us. She is an uncanny rebounder, a rugged defender, has a beautiful three-point shot, and still has exceptional natural athleticism, all of which make her a deadly impact player."

Cosier started her WNBL career with the Dandenong Rangers in 2000. She played six seasons for the Sydney Uni Flames before making the move to Canberra in 2008.

The University of Canberra Capitals were established on 16 May, taking over from Canberra's former WNBL team. The Canberra WNBL franchise is based at the University's Sporting Commons.
