Biography

Alison Wicks was Associate Professor in Occupational Therapy at the University of Canberra from 2011-2016. She was Head of School of Public Health and Nutrition at UC from 2014-2016. Prior to working at UC she had over 35 years of diverse experience in practice, education and academia, nationally and internationally.

Currently, Alison is a member of the Occupational Therapy Council of NSW and is a mentor for new graduates in the Occupational Therapy Australia’s Mentorlink program. These days, when not contributing to the profession of occupational therapy, beekeeping, mountain bike riding and grandparenting occupy her time.

Her specialist teaching area is occupational science.
