Biography
Vera was inspired to become a nurse after her own person experiences of the support and care nurses provided patients, and followed her passion to become a theatre nurse, specialising in the scrub/scout role. She was awarded a person level 2, developed her teaching skills as the Clinical Development Nurse, management skills in Acting Floor Manager roles, and was regularly team leader. She returned to UC in the role of Clinical Liaison Nurse in 2015, supporting nursing students during their placement. In 2020 Vera began teaching Bachelor of Nursing program.
Research interests
Vera is currently working towards completing PhD focusing on environmental and staff factors that affect patient safety in the operating room environment.
