Biography
Ms Kathryn Sainsbury is a Lecturer in Nursing at the University of Canberra. She is the discipline of Nursing, International Student Coordinator. Ms Sainsbury is an experienced Nurse Lecturer and clinical nurse educator with over 15 years of experience in the area of clinical critical care nurse education. She has had the opportunity to implement a range of successful hospital based critical care programs within New South Wales and the Asia region. She received the Prince of Wales Hospital international nurses's day award in the category of Nurse Educator.
She is an experienced clinical supervisor with an interest in strategies that will contribute to a successful clinical placement. She is experienced in teaching in the simulated learning environment has an interest providing students with meaningful learning experiences through simulations.
Kathryn is a recipient of a University of Canberra team Teaching Excellence award in the category of UC Citations for Innovative Approaches to Teaching and Learning for Integrating Nursing Concepts 6.
