In this unit students will apply and consolidate their academic knowledge with disciplinary competencies as defined by the Australian Pharmacy Council and the Australian Heath Practitioners Regulatory Authority. They will demonstrate their understanding of professionalism and career-readiness in clinical and non-clinical settings.
1. Demonstrate career-readiness, a clear professional identity, and insight into the skills, knowledge and personal attributes necessary to meet the standards of performance and practice expected by the pharmacy profession;
2. Critically reflect on their learning, professional, and clinical skill development throughout the course by creating a learning portfolio providing evidence of meeting required performance outcomes;
3. Critically analyse the impact of individual actions on others in professional pharmacy settings and the impact of the profession on society;
4. Synthesise high-level conceptual and practical understanding and pharmacy knowledge to develop useful solutions to real-world problems; and
5. Reflect on their experience throughout the course including interdisciplinary practice and work-integrated learning to create plans for future continuing professional development.
