1 Ted Hughes and Seamus Heaney, eds, The Rattle Bag, any edition.
2 Thomas Carper and Derek Attridge, Meter and Meaning (Routledge: New York and London, 2003).
Both texts are available through the School Locker website for this unit (Links to an external site.) and through Dymocks online sales, https://www.dymocks.com.au/book/meter-and-meaning-by-thomas-carper-and-derek-attridge-9781000100846 (Links to an external site.)which offers the ebook of the Carper and Attridge for $8 less than The School Locker. You will find copies of both through various other online booksellers, and copies are also often available in Canberran second hand bookstores. Finally, limited copies of each are available for 3 hour loan from the library.

Various poems, drafts of poems and prose reviews will be available through the "Reading List" tab to your left, as per the "Timetable of Activities" below.

Required IT skills
The unit will make use of UC's online Canvas site. Regular access to this site is essential for completing the unit. Basic word-processing skills are also expected.
