Policy and procedures
The Graduate Research School has refreshed its HDR policies and procedures in 2025 to make them clearer, more consistent, and easier to navigate.
The new Higher Degree by Research Policy; Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Procedure and Higher Degree by Research (HDR) Scholarships (Including RTP-Funded Scholarships) Procedure replace older documents, streamlining governance and support for candidates and staff.
In the HDR Procedure you will find guidance and details on:
- Applications, admission and scholarships
- Candidature management, progress and support
- Research conduct, grievances and appeals
- Supervision
- Submission and examination
