Program Overview:

You will be matched with an industry mentor in a similar industry or research area.
Over 9 months and 4 meetings, mentors share their expertise and insights from their candidature and career.

You are given the skills and support to lead the mentoring relationship and ensure they get the most out of their mentor. Mentors provide:

  • New and alternative perspectives
  • Ideas and approaches
  • Career pathway advice
  • Real-life experience
  • Help identify skills gaps
  • Help grow your industry networks
  • Reinvigorate motivation

During the Mentoring Program you have access to:

  • Mentoring workshop with Dr Janet Smith
  • Mentoring meeting framework
  • Monthly resources
  • Email/phone/drop in session support throughout program
  • Occasional social coffee catch up

Program requirements:

  • Attend orientation virtual event at start of program
  • Attend mentoring workshop
  • Minimum 4 meeting (in person or virtual)
  • Program runs for 9 months March to December
  • 500-word reflection upon completion
