If you're applying to the University of Canberra from the United States, you don’t need an Australian Year 12 to gain entry. The University of Canberra recognises a range of international qualifications, including a US high school diploma with SAT or ACT scores, Advanced Placement (AP) exams, and the International Baccalaureate (IB). We also consider other qualifications on a case-by-case basis.

Yes. If you have completed college-level study in the US, you may be eligible for credit towards your degree at UC. We also recognise AP exams and the IB, and can assess prior learning on a case-by-case basis. Our admissions team will guide you through the credit transfer process and help you get the most out of your previous study.

US students can apply directly through the UC website or with help from an international education agent. Entry is based on your high school results, with SAT or ACT scores considered. AP and IB courses can strengthen your application and in some cases earn you credit.
