The Graduate Certificate in Disability Policy and Advocacy equips you to shape and influence policy that impacts people with disability across Australia, including within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) landscape. You'll develop expertise in policy analysis, advocacy, and engagement with stakeholders including private sector entities, the National Disability Insurance Agency and other Government authorities, with a focus on how policy is formed, implemented, and improved across disability systems and the broader human rights context. The course builds your ability to critically assess systems, apply evidence, and contribute to meaningful reform, including reform of the NDIS environment. Grounded in real policy challenges, your learning is practical, applied, and immediately relevant to roles across government, advocacy, and service organisations. Delivered 100% online, the course offers the flexibility to balance study with professional commitments. This course provides a pathway into the Master of Public Policy. You can continue building advanced capability in policy, leadership, and strategy to contribute to system-level reform and influence decision-making across the disability sector. Credit arrangements
There are currently no formal credit transfer arrangements for entry to this course. Any previous study or work experience will only be considered as part of the application process in accordance with current course rules and university policy.

Course duration
The standard duration for this course is 8 months (4 Study Blocks). The maximum duration is 3 years from date of enrolment to date of course completion.
