You’ll regularly connect with the world of professional practice via guest lecturers, expert industry-based tutors and a focus on practical scenarios and case studies in your coursework.
You’ll undertake group project work developing real-world IT strategies for real clients, and will participate in a final year work placement. Previous Business Informatics students have undertaken internships and cadetships with organisations such as PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Fujitsu Australia, Birdsnest, the University of Canberra, and more.

- From Semester 1 2018 unit 11009 Business Decision Making replaces 5617 Accounting for Managers.
- From 2019 the unit code for 6365 Systems Analysis and Modelling has changed to 11486.
- From 2019 the unit code for Information Law has changed to 11271 and for Sociology of Technology & Work to 11249.
- From Semester 1 2018 students should choose to complete an Open Elective unit in lieu of 9799 Foundations of Professional Planning.
- In choosing electives students should note that no more than 30 credit points at Level 1 is permitted for the entire course.
Note:- Must pass 9 credit points from anywhere in the University, as a Minor or individual units.
