Applied Entrepreneurship - Pilot Development and Implementation (6cp) (9962.1)

During this unit, students will research and plan a business venture building on the draft business model created in the Applied Entrepreneurship unit. Students will utilise their various creative and entrepreneurial skills to develop a range of activities that can be undertaken in the lead up to a business launch. Students will launch their business into a simulated environment, where they will be required to undertake a "lessons learnt" process. The recommendations coming from the "lessons learned" section of the unit form the basis of future learning within the Applied Management units.

Learning outcomes

On the successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate an ability to prepare detailed pilot implementation plans, including various risk mitigation plans that take into account identified potential challenges;
2. Prepare and test various entrepreneurial marketing campaigns;
3. Analyse market response to identify key areas of breakdown;
4. Develop justified recommendations based on venture pilot performance; and
5. Adjust business model according to pilot performance and create work-plans to further improve.
