High speed network becomes backbone of the information age. It becomes the use knowledge of network and software engineering in response to real circumstance in the life. This unit will apply the principles based on network and software to real life network processes and procedures.
This unit may be cotaught with 6692 High Speed Networks PG.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Apply the knowledge of high speed network to a real life network;
2. Demonstrate the principles and theories based on high speed network to the target network in real circumstance; and
3. Have a good appreciation of the building blocks and operation of high speed networking technology to analyse a network.

Submission of assessment items

Extensions & Late submissions

Students who do not submit the research paper  will receive a final grade of NC (Not Complete).

Late submission of the research paper without an approved extension will result in a penalty of 5% reduced marks from the total available, per calendar day late. Research paper submitted over 5 days late will not be accepted.

Special assessment requirements

  • An aggregate mark of 50% is required to pass the unit. 
  • Students who do not submit the research paper will receive a final grade of NC (Not Complete).
  • The unit convener reserves the right to question students orally on any of their submitted work and may adjust awarded marks based on this questioning.

  • Late submission of quiz is not allowed.
