Applied Arts and Humanities Thesis R FT (9680.3)

The student will prepare and submit for examination, a thesis which is consistent with the requirements of a research masters thesis as specified by the policies of the University of Canberra.

Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge, including recent developments in one or more of the following fields: communication; journalism; creative writing; cultural heritage and conservation; industrial design; graphic design; architecture; landscape architecture, international studies;
2. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of research principles and skills appropriate to one or more fields and creatively apply this knowledge to plan, develop and execute a research project which produces new knowledge, resulting in a thesis or a creative output with accompanying exegesis; and
3. Demonstrate an ability to communicate with the community of researchers within UC and with the professions to create opportunities for research cooperation.

9679 Applied Arts and Humanities Thesis Design PG AND one of the following:

9682 Arts and Humanities Research PG OR
9683 Creative Practice Research PG OR
9684 Social Research PG.
