Required texts
The unit uses one text book for several modules and as a supplementary source for others. The book is: T. Bovaird and E. Loffler (eds) Public Management and Governance, Routledge, London. The book is available in three editions. The first edition (2003) is available as an e-book online at the university library. The second edition (2009) is in the UC library. The third edition (2016) is available at the UC library (but you are not required to use it for this online unit). Selected reading from these editions and other sources will be available.
Participation requirements
• Failure to submit an assessment task leads to an automatic NC (Fail result based on failure to complete one or more of the assessment requirements for a subject).
• URKUND will be used to check for plagiarism for all assignments. Your assignments are to be written in your own words.
• Students must submit all assessment items sequentially (Journal 1, Journal 2 and then the Essay).
