The program is designed to provide an opportunity for high calibre graduates to undertake scholarly postgraduate research.
1. Conceive, design and carry to completion a piece of original research which, in the opinion of two independent assessors of recognised standing, adds substantially to existing knowledge and understanding of the field of study;
2. Develop the skills necessary for communicating the results of their work effectively to other professionals in their field of study; and
3. Demonstrate a high degree of scholarship.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the Doctor of Philosophy, students will be able to:1.
