Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Demonstrate a sound understanding of how urban and regional planning has responded to the cultural, political, environmental and economic factors that make up our diverse nation;
2. Demonstrate critical skills for understanding and analysing urban and regional policy nationally and internationally;
3. Demonstrate research, analytical and communication skills;
4. Research aspects of urban policy development over time and discuss how different tiers of government respond to a national urban policy agenda; and
5. Demonstrate an understanding of the significance of urban and regional planning in advancing economic prosperity, environmental conservation and social equity.
