Learning outcomesOn completion of this unit students will be able to:
1. Explain the relationship between diet and nutrition and specific diseases;
2. Critically assess the quality of evidence linking diet to disease; and
3. Translate knowledge of the relationship between diet and disease into prioritised, evidence-based prevention strategies for specific diseases.

Use of Text-Matching Software
The University of Canberra uses text-matching software to help students and staff reduce plagiarism and improve understanding of academic integrity. The software matches submitted text in student assignments against material from various sources: the internet, published books and journals, and previously submitted student texts.
All lectures will be provided as recordings only for this unit - there will be no face-to-face lectures delivered this semester.
Students are strongly encouraged to attend all face-to-face tutorials. Tutorial activities will be posted on Canvas but tutorials will not be recorded. Students are responsible for keeping up to date with any missed classes.
