PrerequisitesMust have passed or be enrolled in 10112 Research Methods in Psychology PG.
CorequisitesMust be enrolled in 769AA Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours).

The thesis should be presented in APA style such as described in:
APA (2020). Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed.). Washington, DC: APA.
With the exception of assessment-based workshops, all workshops are optional; however, attendance is strongly encouraged.
Regular meetings should be arranged with the project supervisor. In general, supervisors should be available for individual consultation for 30 to 60 mins of face-to-face contact per week during Semester 1 and 2.
Required IT skills
It is assumed that students have good word processing skills and knowledge of SPSS/Jamovi.

Role of thesis supervisors
Thesis supervisors are expected to provide timely and sufficiently detailed written and verbal comments on:
- An initial outline
- A draft proposal
- Two drafts of the manuscript (except Discussion)
(provided drafts are submitted within the agreed timeframe to receive feedback).
The Discussion section of the research article can be discussed with the supervisor, but the supervisor will not provide comments on a written draft. It is important that students demonstrate their own understanding of the research through the Discussion.
Formatting (including APA style), accuracy, proofreading, and completeness of the reference sections is the student's responsibility.
