All assessments must be uploaded as a single PDF file to the Moodle dropbox. Only PDF files can be marked using the online markig software.
Incorporate the mark sheet (provided on Moodle) and the coversheet into your PDF as the first two pages.
Special assessment requirements
Personal literacy skills will be assessed in Assessment 1. If you do not receive a satisfactory grade for your personal literacy skills, you will receive a Withheld grade on the assessment until you have attended Academic Skills and provided evidence of your learning to your tutor.
Your participation in both class and online activities will enhance your understanding of the unit content and therefore your capacity to be an effective teacher of literacy.
Assessment 2 will be worked upon each week in tutorials. Lack of attendance will mean you will miss important assessment information and guidance and may result in your inability to satisfactorily pass assessment items.

This unit involves a classroom observation visit and therefore, additional student responsibilities are required in addition to those described in this section. Work-place learning requires strict adherence to professional practice principles and ethics. Student and school confidentiality must always be maintained including for assessment items such as reports or essays.
The professional nature of this unit also requires 100% participation at all learning activities including lectures, tutorials and classroom observations for the successful completion of this unit.
If attendance requirements cannot be satisfied, it is recommended that you schedule this unit for a future semester.
