Submission of assessment items
Special assessment requirements
Students who submit all pieces of assessment, achieve an overall mark of 50% and a minimum of 40% in the final exam will pass the unit.

Use of Text-Matching Software
The University of Canberra uses text-matching software to help students and staff reduce plagiarism and improve understanding of academic integrity. The software matches submitted text in student assignments against material from various sources: the internet, published books and journals, and previously submitted student texts.
Participation is not required. However, evidence strongly suggests that students who attend lectures and tutorials and prepare for tutorials do extremely well in this unit than those who do not and do extremely poor performance.
