Candidates will be required to undertake original research resulting in a significant contribution to knowledge and/or the application of knowledge within a particular area of specialisation within the field of law. The work will include a searching review of the literature, a systematic approach to the acquisition of knowledge and the preparation of a substantial and well-ordered dissertation demonstrating a thorough understanding of the state of knowledge in the area of inquiry and the relationship to the broader legal framework within which the dissertation is located.
1. Write a dissertation (approximately 60,000 words) which constitutes a substantial piece of original and sustained legal research on a significant legal topic.
