Strategic Management and Innovation PG (12298.1)

Strategy shapes an organisation's objectives, activities and the way it deploys resources to achieve agreed outcomes. In this unit, you analyse how strategies are created and implemented within a context of change, examining the roles and responsibilities of organisational actors and both internal and external stakeholders. You explore strategy implementation through a leadership lens, focusing on how executives translate strategy into operational activity, as well as actively lead and manage organisational change.

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Critically analyse a range of theories and practices of strategic management and innovation;
2. Evaluate approaches for strategic management with consideration for the sector, stakeholders and business operations; and
