Learning outcomes
After successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Develop and synthesise knowledge of the documents which underpin and govern professional practice in speech pathology (e.g. Speech Pathology Australia's Code of Ethics; Scope of Practice; Professional Standards);
2. Understand and apply the processes of assessment and intervention in speech pathology;
3. Describe and analyse speech pathology service provision across different states/territories in relation to aspects of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and government policy; and understand barriers to service access from the perspective of diverse populations;
4. Critically reflect on their own learning ; and
5. Critically appraise and integrate various sources of evidence to inform decision-making related to speech pathology practice and service provision.
