This microcredential will introduce students to the fundamentals of AI-driven Cyber Security and the ethical frameworks that guide its application. Students will explore how AI and AI-based tools can be used to analyse, detect, and respond to cyber threats, apply ethical and governance frameworks to evaluate risks, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. The microcredential will build transferable skills in ethical reasoning, problem solving, and professional communication, preparing students for future roles across government, business, and community sectors.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. Explain AI-driven approaches to cyber security, including ethical, legal, and governance considerations in diverse digital environments.
2. Apply AI tools and ethical frameworks to analyse cyber incidents, design incident responses, and communicate security strategies to technical and non-technical audiences.
