Professional Reasoning in Occupational Therapy PG (12248.1)

This advanced unit focuses on the development and application of professional reasoning within the occupational therapy process, emphasising critical thinking and reflective practice to ensure a person-centred and evidence-informed approach. Reflective practice will be a core component, helping students critically evaluate their own experiences, assumptions, and professional growth. Additionally, the unit highlights the importance of culturally responsive professional reasoning, guiding students to apply their understanding of cultural factors when working with diverse individuals and communities. Through case-based learning, reflective and simulation activities, students will refine and articulate their reasoning skills and enhance their ability to provide effective, culturally safe, and holistic care.

This unit is co-taught with 10303 Professional Reasoning in Occupational Therapy.
