How important is ethical communication to organisational success? Why do we trust some organisations but not others? And how can an organisation generate social license and social capital? This unit emphasises the role of ethical communication in building trust, inclusivity and resilience in organisations. In this unit, you will learn to create ethical communication strategies and drive both social and organisational change. Through a blend of theory and practical skills, you will learn to navigate the complexities of modern organisations, ensuring success in a world where empathy, integrity, and cultural awareness are paramount.
1. Defend the importance of ethical and inclusive approaches to professional and organisational communication;
2. Apply a sophisticated understanding of the value of including diverse cultures, knowledges and practices in professional communication settings; and
3. Develop the ability to communicate ethically and inclusively in fields such as public affairs, public relations and corporate communication.
