Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Synthesise and apply specialised knowledge of the impact of specific body structure & function impairments on communication skills across the lifespan;
2. Critically evaluate and consider contextual/community influences on speech pathology practice across the lifespan;
3. Analyse, interpret and integrate internal and external evidence to support decision making for assessment and intervention; and
4. Work collaboratively with individuals, caregivers, and community to apply evidence-based, culturally responsive practice, and ICF principles to optimise functional communication and active participation across the lifespan.
