This unit introduces students to health promotion as a conceptual framework, a field of practice and an integral part of the broader public health field.
1. Analyse and interpret public health issues according to evidence-based health promotion principles;
2. Apply and integrate contemporary health promotion processes into a range of public health contexts;
3. Design and implement health promotion processes and content evaluation frameworks;
4. Critically analyse and interpret health promotion practice, including practice informed by First Nation's communities; and
5. Identify and respond to challenges to health promotion in a changing world.
