In this unit, which follows on from Built Environment Professional Thesis 1, students continue to execute and complete a detailed industry focused and engaged research project in their chosen field in built environment and design. The results of this investigation will be presented as a written work in a form to be agreed with their supervisor and that satisfies the standard of an honours thesis. Students will draw together the skills and knowledge acquired throughout their degree to develop and report on their understanding of the processes of practice and project management as relevant to the discipline.
1. Conduct a detailed and discrete original industry-orientated research project and detail the implications of that work in the broader context;
2. Clearly document and communicate industry and practical experiences;
3. Express professional knowledge, understanding, ideas, arguments and opinions with confidence and clarity, both written and spoken, with the effective use of relevant communication aids; and
4. Demonstrate the ability to work ethically within a professional team and to manage time, goals and priorities.

Learning outcomes
