Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Discuss ethical and environmental considerations in relation to the textile, clothing and footwear industries which impact on design directions and decisions;
2. Present a series of highly creative design developments and solutions through the presentation of a professional design portfolio;
3. Develop an experimental approach in order to realise design concepts throughout the industry product development cycle; and
4. Select and apply appropriate technologies for pattern and garment construction in relation to differing textiles materials.
