Learning outcomes
After successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:1. Evaluate the legal and policy challenges of digital data for government from a global perspective responsive to sustainability, diversity, and innovation;
2. Apply regulatory frameworks for the government management of data to solve complex problems with advanced cognitive, technical and communication skills; and
3. Demonstrate effective research, communication, and legal reasoning skills as well as ethical, self-reflective professional judgement in drafting professional documents relating to data management.

There are no set texts. A detailed Suggested Reading guide will be provided prior to commencement of the unit. The Canvas module for each session will feature a range of articles, chapters, judgments and other material.

The unit is delivered online. Participation in workshops is encouraged but not mandatory. All sessions are recorded. Handouts will be available on Canvas.
