The required textbook is Dumas, M., La Rosa, M., Mendling, J. and Reijers, H.a., 2018. Fundamentals of Business Process Management, 2nd Edition. Springer, Berlin, Heidelberg. This book is available from the library.
Submission of assessment items
Extensions & Late submissions
Assessment items must be submitted to the assignment area in the UCLearn teaching site, relating to that piece of assessment. It is the student's responsibility to upload the correct and correstponding draft or assessment item, to the right submission section.
Late submissions will only be accepted for a limited peiod, only the first late submission will be accepted for marking and may be subject to penalties as detailed in the Assessment Procedures.
Note that due to the nature of this assessmeent , no late submissions will be accepted for the demonstrations component of the individual assignment. Students must be present in the Week 13 lab to demonstrate their individual assignment. Students who do not demonstrate their individual assignment in the Week 13 lab without prior approval from the unit convener as per the requirements for extensions will receive zero (0) marks for the individual assignment.
Special assessment requirements
Where possible, all assessment items will be submitted online via the teaching site in UCLearn. The first page of each assessment item should include the following information:
- Student ID number:
- Assessment Name:
- Word Count (if applicable):

Late submissions will only be accepted for a limited period. If more than one late submission is made within that period, only the first late submission will be accepted for marking and may be subject to penalties as detailed in the Assessment Procedures.
Students can apply for an extension to the submission due date for an assessment item due to extenuating, evidenced circumstances (specific details are found in the Assessment Procedures). An extension must be applied for before the due date. Documentary evidence (e.g. medical certificate) will be expected for an extension to be granted, however this will not guarantee that the application will be successful. The Unit Convener or relevant Program Director/Course Convener will decide whether to grant an extension and the length of the extension.

Late submission of assignments without an approved extension will result in a penalty of 5% reduced marks from the total available, per calendar day late. An assignment submitted over 7 days late will not be accepted.
Use of text matching software
In order to recognise the contributions of individual members in a team environment a peer review will be conducted potentially resulting in members of a group receiving different scores. The details of this peer review will be published in the assignment details.

This unit requires the theoretical business process management concepts and the Pega implementations in order to demonstrate the achievement of the learning outcomes of this unit. Students will use the Pega platform to undertake the training that includes reading and lab material. While some of this material will be delivered in the lectures, students should ensure that they have completed all the reading and Pega material each week. Refer to assessment items on the Canvas site for further details.
Students who do not demonstrate their individual assigment in a recorded video with their face showing without prior approval from the unit convener as per the requirements for extensions (see section 5b) will receive zero (0) marks for the individual assignment.

IT skills commensurate with advanced study of information technology are assumed.
